To maintain a safe environment for patrons and staff:

  • Patron computer use will begin Monday, July 20, by appointment only. Each session appointment will be made on the hour; only one (1) 40 minute session is available per person per day. Call in advance to make an appointment. Safety measures taken at public computers will include disinfection after each use; please be advised that, in order to maintain safety through social distancing, staff is not available to assist you at the computer.
  • All staff and patrons are required to wear face masks or face shields. The library has facemasks available if you do not have one. No one will be allowed to enter the library without a facemask. If you are unable to wear a facemask, staff will assist you by retrieving materials for you or you can take advantage of our curbside service. Our friendly staff is able to help you locate requested materials.
  • 6-foot social distancing is required and spots will be marked on the floor at the checkout desk to assist this.
  • In order to maintain social distance at the circulation desk, you will enter the building through the front door and exit through the children’s area door.
  • The Library will have limited capacity with only a certain number of people allowed in the building at a time. Due to space limitations, no more than 5 people will be allowed in the building at any time. Parents/caregivers with children must keep children with them at all times while browsing/checking out materials. If we are at capacity, we ask that you wait outside until we can safely let you into the building.
  • Hand sanitizer is available for staff and patrons to use as they enter and leave the building.
  • Meeting room area and children’s area will remain closed to the public. If you need materials located in those areas, staff will retrieve them for you.
  • Public restroom will remain closed until further notice.
  • Staff will be taking hand washing breaks and disinfecting high touch surfaces hourly.
  • All materials must be returned through the Book Drop; during curbside pickup, a returns cart will be available outside. During browsing hours, the Book Drop will be available, located inside front door. We will not accept returns at the circulation desk. All materials immediately go into a 72 hour quarantine before they are checked in, so, please, do not browse the Book Drop.
